Caroline's Birthday!

Caroline had her friend Lauren Grace over for a sleep over on her birthday!!

On Saturday, we had her party at Fired Up Pottery in Seaside.

Her friends got to pick out a piece of pottery to paint and decorate.

They all did a great job on their projects!!

September!!!

Technically Hurricane Isaac came the end of August--- here is a pic from our beach. Quite a bit of beach erosion and debris, but not nearly as bad as it could have been.

The kids sold cookies over Labor Day weekend to make money for their mission project- mosquito nets! They raised enough money to buy nets for 5 families in Africa!!

We took the kids to the Gulf Breeze Zoo near Pensacola over Labor Day weekend as well. It is such a cute little zoo!

September is a beautiful month!!

I had a snap a shot of my baby boy at the doctor's office. He had a horrible ear infection.... Even though he is 11 he still is a little boy and wants his mama when he is sick. Poor thing... he recovered quickly though!

Both kids wanted surf boards for their birthdays!! They spent their birthday money on them this weekend. Unfortunately the waves were not great for surfing on Saturday. Poor Sis had trouble catching one and was not happy.... We were proud of her though- she got back out there and tried again!

This picture is a little morbid, but I had to include it. Our kitty's ashes came back last week....A very nice box for remembering our buddy of 16 years. We miss him!

We had a great start to the school year and were getting in the groove of the routine, and then we had the two hurricane days off, and now Labor Day weekend! So we feel like we are starting from scratch. But we feel fortunate that we did not suffer the effects of Hurricane Isaac other than a few storms and high surf. After watching the news coverage of Louisiana and Mississippi flooding, we realize that it could have easily been us in that situation. We were prepared for the storm and ready to evacuate if needed... we are praying every day for those people who are enduring those floods to the west of us.
